ResearchOur group performs research in the area of Bioprocess Engineering, namely regarding the mathematical modelling and computer-aided simulation, optimization and control of bio-processes (i.e. food and biotechnology industries) and bio-systems (e.g. biochemical pathways, biological waves, and other related topics from the area of systems biology). Some of our current research topics are:

CollaborationsSeveral members of the group have performed research stays at well-known international institutions: the University of California at Davis, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Cambridge, Princeton University and the M.I.T.
